Surgery
The mini Lift focuses on specific areas of the face, such as the neck and the jawline. Because the cosmetic problems targeted are relatively minor, the incisions made during this surgery can be quite small. As a result, the Mini Lift is one of the least invasive procedures in facial surgery.
By using small, inconspicuous incisions, and often taking advantage of endoscopic facelift technology, the surgeon will lift, reposition and remove facial tissue to achieve optimal results. Once factors contributing to unwanted sagging and drooping have been removed, the surgeon carefully repositions the skin using small sutures.
Recovery
One of the biggest advantages of the Mini Lift is that the recovery time is much shorter than that associated with traditional facelift recovery.
Following surgery, patients are advised to rest comfortably at home for 1-2 days.
While most patients do not experience any significant discomfort after surgery, but you can expect to experience bruising and swelling for the first week to ten days of healing. During this time, low-dose prescription pain medication can help you maintain your comfort. You should be resting during this time, doing leisurely activities such as reading or catching up on television programs. We do, however, ask that you get up and walk around several times a day to boost circulation.
Patients are typically able to return to work within days after the Mini Lift. Patients who are not bothered by the bandages may be able to return to work sooner. Healing time varies from person to person.
Aerobic activity may be resumed within ten to fourteen days after the procedure, while more strenuous activities may be resumed within three to four weeks.
